Just a stones throw down the beach from your private villa this South Sumatran gem has been lifted from the pages of every surf groms school books. Short but super hollow take the backdoor approach taking off behind the peak and slot into one of the funnest barrels you’ll find while travelling Indonesia.
How does a perfect left hand barrel sound? Leftovers throws itself down the line and bends back towards the beach until eventually bottoming out on itself leaving you with just enough time to come flying out cleanly and launching yourself into the stratosphere.
When the swell is small to mid Honey Smacks turns itself into a fun left for all to enjoy no matter your skill level or experience.
When the swells up though… Honey Smacks is the place to be for experienced surfers. Take a steep (or air) drop into the pit of a lifetime and feel the spray hit your back as you’re spat out into the channel.
The beach area at Honey Smacks is a beautiful place, you can easily spend the day here just hanging out and watching the surf in the shade of the coconut palms.
A long multi sectional right hand point with a picturesque backdrop Jenny’s is a wave for all skill levels and interests. Get barrelled, do big turns, or hit the air!
Sumatran Pipe / Way Jambu
Critical take off and a lip that throws out hollow stand up barrels down the line Way Jambu earns its name as Sumatra’s Pipe.
Be prepared for shallow reef encounters as you take on this Indonesian power house.
If a heavy slabbing right is your thing than Jimmy’s has got you covered! be prepared to break boards here as you try your hand at pulling off a tube ride to remember for the rest of your life.
A wave that spends most of its time around the 3-4ft mark Krui Lefts are wave for all to have fun on. Through the months of June to August big SW swells hit the area and its at this time Krui left starts to throw some heat.
Fasten your seatbelts as Krui rights throw a speedy down the line barrel containing a few sections. It’s here that you’ll need to get your down the line race game on.
As both Krui lefts and Krui rights are contained within the same bay, they require the same conditions.
200m of left hand point paradise. Ujung can and will change on an hourly basis depending on tides, swell and wind. This wave can be fun down the line carves one minute and than quickly transform into a long clean barrel.
